Savannah Ace Travis Partridge downtown, clearing the center field
fence for a solo home run to help the Hornets beat the Savages 10-7
at Savannah.
"I was extremely pleased with the way we hit the ball."
stated Hornets coach Dave Mapel. "We were so much more patient and
focused than we were Monday. We stayed back and waited. When we

Lafayette had the tying run on 3rd in the bottom of the 7th but
strong defense backing up Fantazia's pitching helped secure the
Hornet win.
"Chase threw extremely well." stated Hornets coach Dave
Mapel. "He struggled a bit in the 1st and 3rd innings but he kept
his composure and battle back with a very nice 6th and 7th innings
to hold off a very good and improved Lafayette team."
Mapel was also pleased with his team's hitting and base
running, stating it was good to be able to mix in the veterans with
the younger players. The Hornets improve to 7-2 overall and 1-0 in

very solid defense." Maple stated his team should of been out of the
first inning 1-2-3 instead of allowing four runs. "I don't have a
