 2/24 at Savannah 45, Chillicothe 44 (Districts)
A record setting performance was overshadowed by a bizarre ending that gave Savannah a 45-44 win over Chillicothe in a district game in Savannah. Colin Parker hit his fourth trey of the game in the third quarter, giving him the school single-season 3-point record with 58 treys. However, it was a 9-1 run by Savannah in the final 40 seconds that cost Chillicothe the game.
Down by 7, Savannah’s Travis Partridge hit a shot with 40 seconds left and was fouled, narrowing the lead to five. Partridge missed the free throw but got the rebound and stick-back, closing it to three points. Savannah forced a Chillicothe back court turnover, then in-bounded the ball to Partridge who made another shot with 19 seconds left to close the game to 1 point. With six seconds left, Savannah was whistled for fouling Colin Parker; however Parker was also immediately hit with a technical foul. Parker hit one free throw to make it a two point game then Partridge hit one of two technical free throws to make it a one point game again. Savannah in-bounded the ball off the technical, and Partridge hit a shot with half a second left to give the Savages the win thanks to nine Partridge points and two late officials whistles against Chillicothe.
