The
Chillicothe Hornets bowed out of the Kearney Tournament with a
54-44 loss to St Joseph Benton.
Chillicothe
led by one point at halftime and was tied with
Benton
with about one minute left in the third when
Benton
went on a 7-0 run to lead 39-32 after three and continued the
run in the early 4th to lead by 11. Chillicothe had
good play on the low post with Blake Stephens finishing with
16 points, however Benton’s Austin Parrot burned the Hornets
from the outside, hitting 6 of 12 treys and finishing with 22
points. Chillicothe falls to 2-8 while Benton improves to
3-10, with two of the three wins this season coming at the
hands of Chillicothe. |
