Three days prior to the game, St Joseph Benton managed just 18
points against Cameron. Friday night all five starters for
Benton were in double figures to lead their team to it's
fourth win of the season. Three of those four wins have come
against Chillicothe, the latest one a conference game in
Chillicothe's own house.
The Hornets built a ten point lead early in the second
quarter but slowly watched it fade, then disappear completely
when Benton hit a half court shot at the end of the first half
to tie the game. Chillicothe managed just one more tie score
early in the third before falling behind by double digits for
part of the third and most of the fourth quarter.
Bryce Young finished with 30 points and Alex Thompson
with 15, but Benton had double figure scoring from all five
starters. Benton also had a sizable lead in rebounding and
second chance baskets during the game.
Chillicothe now faces four games in six days
