Lawson came from four points down in the final minute to send the game into overtime. Chillicothe had a chance at an inbounds play with 5 seconds left, but Lawson had it well defended and an Alex Thompson shot in traffic failed to go in.
     Chillicothe trailed all of the second and third quarters by as many as 8 points, but ended the third on a 5-0 run to lead by 4 heading into the fourth. The Hornets built a second point lead early in the fourth before Lawson made a slow comeback to tie the game and send it to overtime.
     The Hornets went to the Stephens Brothers: Brett (Sr) and Blake (Jr) to get the four minute overtime rolling. They responded with two buckets each in the extra period. Chillicothe build a quick six point lead and never looked back. Bryce Young hit three of four free throws in overtime to help sustain the lead. Chillicothe outscored Lawson 11-3 in the final period.
     The game marked the first real varsity playing time for Sophomore Nick Voorhies, an early season transfer student. He finished with seven points on the night.
