Chillicothe built a 13 point lead at the end of the third quarter then battled through a sluggish fourth quarter to hang on for a 54-51 win over Marshall. The Owls built an early 5-0 lead before Chillicothe Senior Guard Bryce Young went on a 7-0 run to give the Hornets the lead. Marshall battled back midway thru the 2nd quarter to lead by 4 thanks to their three-point shooting. Chillicothe responded to lead 30-25 at the half.
     Bryce Young had 17 points at halftime and was held to just three points in the third quarter and none in the fourth. Junior Post player Blake Stephens stepped up to score 10 points  and Junior Zach Douglas hit 7 in the game.
      Douglas hit two key free throws late in the game to ice the win for Chillicothe. Marshall pulled to with-in three points with under a minute to play. Following a foul, Douglas hit both free throws to bring it to five. Marshall narrowed it to three and had a chance to tie the game but  Matt Buford missed a trey from the right corner at the buzzer. Marshall was 5/12 from behind the arc in the first half but just 1/7 in the second half.
