- Chillicothe 55, at Marshall 25
. Marshall
scored the first basket of the game but Chillicothe took over
from there, scoring 15 straight points. Chillicothe
capitolized on Marshall's 2-3 zone defense to get the ball
inside. Kelsey hicks finished with a game high 23 points
including 10 field goals from the low post position for the
Lady Hornets.
Marshall never made a serious threat after
the initial basket, trailing by double figures the entire
final three quarters. The Lady Owls also suffered from foul
problems with 4 players picking up four fouls in the game. The
Lady Hornets went 20 of 37 from the free throw line.
The Saturday afternoon game was
Chillicothe's first win of the season. They host Savannah on
Tuesday night.
