-Chillicothe 49, Hannibal 26 at NCMC
The
Chillicothe Lady Hornets used a full court press to jump out
to an early lead and beat a young Hannibal team at the North
Central Missouri College 2009 Holiday Hoops showcase. The
teams traded free throws in the first 3 minutes of the game,
then Chillicothe used their full court press to create
turnovers and roll up a 21-2 lead at the half. Chillicothe's
Kelsey Hicks popped in ten of her 11 points in the first
quarter.
Chillicothe rattled off a 25-0 run before
Hannibal scored their first field goal midway through the
second quarter. The Lady Hornets' Rochelle Gillilan led all
scorers with 17 points and chalked up her sixth straight game
of the season in double figure scoring.
Hannibal's 5'4" Sophomore Krystal Ferguson had
the first eight of her team's points and finished with 12.
