Chillicothe will be in one of the toughest districts in Class 3 for the next two cycles. The new classifications and district alignments have been announced by the MSHSAA.
     Joining Chillicothe in Class 3 District 16 is Cameron, who returns several starters from last year's 8-2 team, Maryville, who moves up to Class three after winning the Class 2 Show Me Bowl in 2009 and finishing 2nd in Class 2 in 2008, and Kansas City St Pius X, who finished 4-7 in 2009 and 5-5 in 2008.
     Elsewhere in the MEC, Smithville and Savannah both move up to Class 4. Savannah joins Benton, Lafayette and Platte County in Class 4 District 16 while Smithville joins Kearney, Excelsior Springs and Liberty North, a new school opening up in 2010. LeBlond stays in Class 2 and will join Hamilton, Trenton and Plattsburg in Class 2 District 16.
