Chillicothe Junior Jacob Lewis smacked a Grand Slam Home Run, had a single and 5 RBIs  to help the Hornets to a 16-6 season opening win at Lawson. Lewis' shot was part of a 7-run 4th inning that gave the Hornets a 10-0 lead. Senior Justin VanHoutan added a solo shot  later in the game. The Hornets picked up 16 runs off nine hits including Austin Hatfield and Brennen Bonderer both with two hits, Guy Vinson and Trever Reger each had one hit.
      On the mound, Blake Stephens had the start and picked up the win, allowing two runs off three hits with nine strike outs and five walks.
