Macon scored five runs in the final two innings to
beat Chillicothe 9-4 in the Hornets home opener. Three Macon
pitchers combined to throw a no-hitter against the Hornets. The
Hornets turned 9 walks, two hit batsmen, a fielder’s choice and a
stolen base into one run in the fifth and three in the sixth
innings.
At the plate, Guy Vinson suffered the loss with Jacob
Lewis in relief. The two combined to allow nine runs (eight earned)
off six hits with three strike outs and two walks. Chillicothe falls
to 1-3 on the season. .
