The Chillicothe Track teams had their first taste of
competition Tuesday with the Chillicothe Time Trials against
Hamilton and St Joseph LeBlond. The event took the place of the
traditional season opening Kearney Invitational, which didn't invite
Chillicothe this year.
Head Boys Coach Cody Denton called it a "very
promising meet". He stated they performed very well as a team, and
the coaches now have some base times, so people can be placed in the
events where needed.
For the Boys, winning first place were:
Alex Thompson in the High Jump, Long Jump and 100
dash
Kale Allen in the High Hurdles
Broc Graves in the 800 and 1600 meters
Andrew Jensen in the 3200 meters
The 4x100 relay of Josh Rockhold, Austin Busse,
Kale Allen and Alex Thompson
The 4x200 relay of Mason Palmer, Walker Thomas,
Hunter Keller and Josh Rockhold
For the Girls, winning first place
were:
Mary Kate
Taylor in the 1600 and 3200 meters
Erin Gilliland in the 300 hurdles
Paige Peters in the shot put
Lexi
Snyder in the high jump
Alicia
Kieffer in the 400
Mackenzie Barnett in the 100
The
4x200, 4x400 and 4x800 relay teams - names were not provided
