Chillicothe used strong defense and just enough offense to beat
Odessa 41-32 in the NCMC Holiday Hoops in Trenton.
Odessa led 4-2 for much of the 1st quarter, but a 4-0
run to end the quarter gave Chillicothe the lead heading in to the
second. That 4-0 run was part of an 11-0 run by the Hornets that
gave them a 9 point lead early in the second quarter, and the game
was never in doubt after that. Odessa closed it to four points once,
but Chillicothe led by as many as 17 points in the fourth quarter
before Odessa ended the game on an 8-0 run.
The Hornets are off until the LeBlond Tournament
on the 28th. .
