Chillicothe broke open a close game with a strong second half to beat Trenton 61-45. It marked the 11th straight year the Hornets have beaten Trenton.
     Trenton came out fired up in front of a packed Courtwarming crowd, trailing by 3 after one and tied at 33 at halftime.
     After a sluggish first three minutes of the third quarter by both teams, the teams traded baskets. It would be the only points for Trenton in the third quarter as the Hornets ended on a 10-0 run to lead by 10 heading into the fourth quarter.
     Cold shooting by Trenton coupled with strong defense by Chillicothe kept Bulldogs at bay, allowing only one basket and two free throws, all by Colby Larson, for a span of nearly 12 minutes in the second half. Chillicothe led by double figures the entire fourth quarter, by as many as 19 late in the game.
     Trenton was forced to foul late in the game and Chillicothe answered the call, hitting 11 of 13 free throws in the final quarter.
