Broc Graves was
the second runner to cross the finish line to help his Hornets team
win their home invitational meet. Graves crossed the line in 17:21,
just 21 seconds behind the winner.
"Broc Graves ran extremely well against Goodin from
Princeton (the overall winner)" stated Coach Tim Riekena. "Andrew
Jensen went out quick but was able to finish strong. Mitchell Smith
and Trent Putnam both ran a strong race".
Riekena stated Kolby Wller held off a Kirksville
runner and helped the team win by a narrow margin. Casey Ratliff
dropped over 3 minutes off last year's time.
On the girl's side, Riekena said Brittany Stanfield
suffered side cramps at the one mile mark, but ended up with a
strong finish. "It was good to see Lizzie McCoy run strong for the
second week in a row, she dropped four minutes off her 2010 time"
stated Riekena.

total of 101 runners from ten schools competed in the event.
