The Chillicothe Cross Country Boys team finished 10th out of 10 complete teams and 23 schools at the Excelsior Springs meet. The Hornets top runner Broc Graves was tied for 3rd when his foot started hurting once again at the two and a half mile mark. Graves pulled himself out of the race to prevent further problems.
     Andrew Jensen was the lone medalist for Chillicothe with a 13th place finish, Mitchell Smith was 33rd, Kolby Eller 55th, Casey Ratliff 67th and Trent Putnam 68th. On the girls side, Brittany Stanfield was 39th, Lizzie McCoy 44th and Michaela Mammen was 61st.
      In the Boys JV trace Derek Eckert was 28th, Aaron Skipper 80th, Jacob McCullough 94th and Jonathan Arthaud 95th.
     In the Boys 9th grade 2 mile race, Austin Moiser was 15th.
     The Boys Champion was Max Johnson of Liberty North in a time of 16:47 and the Girls Champion was Tami Lorenzo of Liberty North in 19:36
