When you're on a
losing skid, you look for improvement from game to game. The
Chillicothe Hornets showed signs of improvement at times, but
failed to put four quarters together and lost to Moberly
68-42.
Chillicothe was down by 5 heading into the 2nd quarter
but were outscored 20-5 in the second quarter that included a 14-0
Moberly run that was fed off numerous turnovers off their press. The
Spartans shot well all night, hitting 64% from the inside and 80% at
the free throw line.
Chillicothe had a boost from their bench as 11
Hornets played and every one of them scored, including two Freshmen
that have been moved up to the Varsity Bench: Mason Hayward and Nate
McKiddy. Hayward had four points and McKiddy had a trey in their
varsity debut.
