Steven Cooper scored twice to lead the Chillicothe Boys Soccer team to a 2-0 season opening win at Kirksville. After a scoreless first half of soccer, Cooper scored in the 54th minute off a Grant Peterson assist to make it a 1-0 game. Cooper struck again in the 66th minute unassisted for the final 2-0 score.
     Troy Toedebusch picked up the shut out at the net. Chillicothe out-shot Kirksville 22 - 3.
