The Chillicothe Hornets soccer team spread the work load around in a 4-0 win over Excelsior Springs in the Excelsior Springs Tournament. Four players each had one goal and four players each had one assist in the game.
Chillicothe scored in the 17th minute when Chase Reeter scored off an assist from Dylan Clark. The Hornets scored again one minute later when Brice Griffin scored off a Steven Cooper assist. Jon Kline rounded out the first half scoring with a goal off a Brandon Murray assist in the 30th minute.
     In the second half, Steven Cooper scored off a Jon Kline assist in the 44th minute for the 4-0 win. Troy Toedebusch had five saves in the game. Chillicothe plays Benton on Saturday at 12:15. The tournament winner is based on points, instead of the traditional bracketed tournament.
