The Chillicothe Boys Tennis team won their first district championship since 2002 with a convincing 5-0 win over Savannah.
Wade Dietz won 6-0, 6-2
Grant Peterson won 6-4, 6-4
Chase Reeter won 6-4, 6-1
Gabe Poling won 6-0, 6-1
Johnson Young won his first set 6-1, lost the second set 5-7 and was halted when Chillicothe picked up the decisive 5th victory
Jeremiah Applebury won 6-0, 6-1
     Coach Aaron Douglas stated Dietz, Applebury and Poling won in some of the quickest 2 set matches he has ever witnessed. Douglas stated the team celebrated the victory by dumping cold water on him, in celebration. Next for Chillicothe is Sectional team tennis, which will include perennial state powerhouse KC Pembroke Hill.
