     The Chillicothe Lady Hornets hit their first three shots of the game to build an early 6-0 lead and went on to beat Maryville 49-30 in the opening round of the Savannah Girls Tournament.
    Chillicothe used an effective full court press in the opening minute to confuse Maryville and force early turnovers. The Lady Hornets also showed great team work in the game with six players scoring between 6 and 12 points each.
     Chillicothe built a ten point lead by halftime and led by double digits most of the second half.
     The Lady Hornets play in the semi-finals on Thursday at 6:30pm
