Winning Pitcher for CHS,  Kelsey Boley

Chillicothe Junior Pitcher Kelsey Boley turned in a two hit shut out, and launched a solo home run to help the Lady Hornets beat St Joseph Lafayette 10-0 in a five inning home opening conference game. Boley went five innings, allowed no runs, two hits, no walks and five strike outs for the victory. Boley also had a solo home run in the second inning when she launched it over dead center field.      Chillicothe scored three in each of the first two innings then put the game away with four in the fifth inning. Chillicothe had 10 runs off 11 hits with 1 error while Lafayette turned in five errors in the game.      "We had a very good game" proclaimed Lady Hornets coach Stan Baldwin. "Pitching, defense and hitting were all very good and the base running was awesome!" Chillicothe stole four bases on the night.      At the plate, in addition to Boley's home run, Chillicothe had two hits from Lauren Jones, who

also scored two runs, had two RBI's, walked once and stole two bases. Sam Baldwin had two hits, two RBIs and a stolen base, Brooke Thomas had two hits and a stolen base, Maura Sturguess, Brooke Nelson, Crysten Lollar and Taylor Daley all had one hit each. Sturguess, Boley, Lollar and Daley all had an RBI.
     Chillicothe is 1-1 now and plays at St Joseph LeBlond on Thursday
