It took just 64 minutes for Kirksville to score 10 goals and put an early end to their Saturday morning game with Chillicothe. For the Hornets, coach Bill Allison says it is more of the same problems that's haunted his team since the preseason practices. "Quentin Mammon went down early with an ankle injury, Laine Saunders went down with a possible shoulder separation and Colton Whiteside and Austin Ireland are struggling with prior injuries that kept them out of much of the game".
Allison did see some positives out of his team's efforts. "Jacob Stull stepped into the goal keeper slot and did okay for his first varsity action. Other bright spots for the future will be Chase Reeter who also has a slight injury but has the will to play, alongside other freshmen Brice Griffin, Jeremiah Applebury and Grant Peterson, all of whom are gaining very valuable experience for next year.
