Chillicothe 29
O'Hara Quarterback T. J. White converted a fourth and seven
then scored from three yards out
two plays later with 10 seconds left in the game to give his team a 32-29 come
from behind win over Chillicothe. White's score capped a 12
play 78 yard game winning drive by the Celtics. He finished
with 98 yards and two touchdowns rushing and 5/8-85 yards and
two touchdowns passing.
O'Hara used the big plays often in the game, scoring on
a 48 yard run in the first quarter and a 40 yard pass early in
the second. Chillicothe had a Jared McCauslin 1 yard run and
two Connor Lindley Field Goals including one on the last play
of the half to tie the game at 12-12 at intermission
Chillicothe opened the second half with Lindley's third
field goal on the night to take a 15-12 lead midway thru the
third quarter. O'Hara responded 1:40 later on a 27 yard pass
to lead 21-20 with 5:21 left in the third.
The seesaw battle continued when O'Hara completed a
five yard pass. The receiver turned to lateral on a hook and
ladder play, but Chillicothe's Bryce Young took the lateral
out of mid-air and raced 25 yards for the score and a 21-20
lead late in the 3rd.
O'Hara put together an 11 play 80 yard drive in the fourth
quarter that ended with a T. J. White 1 yard run to take a
26-21 lead. Chillicothe returned the favor, going 49 yards in
five plays that ended with a Brett Stephens touchdown. That
set up O'Hara's game winning score.
O'Hara's kicking game suffered in the contest. The
Celtics never attempted an extra point kick, and their kick
offs averaged 26 yards per kick. Chillicothe ends the
season at 8-3 while O'Hara improves to 10-1. |
