Chillicothe's Elizabeth Sivill shot an 87 to tie for 10th place and take all-state honors at the annual MSHSAA Golf Championships. Severe weather on Tuesday forced the cancellation of the second day of the tournament.
Chloie Allen shot a 94 for a tie for 24th place and Maycee Hoover shot a 113 to tie for 94th place.
     A golfer from Barat Academy fired a 78 on the first day to take top honors, edging out defending champion Kate Gallagher of Savannah by two strokes. The Lady Savages did capture the team championship once again with a 363, winning by 11 strokes. Trenton finished 4th, Maryville 7th and Smithville 10th out of 11 teams. A total of 123 golfers competed in the Class 1 Tournament.
