Hits at the wrong time led to the
Chillicothe Lady Hornets first loss of the season, falling at
Lafayette 3-0. "We did not hit when we had runners in scoring
position" said Hornets head coach Stan Baldwin. "We made a mental
error that cost us a run in the 1st inning."
Lafayette's Division 1 pitcher, McMurray picked up the
win, going 7 innings allowing five hits, two walks and 11
strikeouts.
