Two errors and poor hitting contributed
to a 2-0 loss for the Chillicothe girls softball team at Maryville.
The lady Spoofhounds scored twice in the third inning for the only
runs in the game. "Errors killed us in the third inning and a costly
base running mistake in the sixth inning" commented lady Hornets
coach Stan Baldwin.
While Chillicothe did manage six hits, Coach Baldwin
says his team hit the ball but always to someone. Sarah Baldwin
suffered the loss for Chillicothe, allowing two unearned runs off
two hits with one walk and eleven strike outs. Chillicothe falls to
7-3 on the season.
