Due to an apparent officials mistake, the Chillicothe Lady Hornet's suspended game with Platte County will not be resumed, giving Platte County a 3-0 six inning win over Chillicothe. The game was halted Wednesday in the bottom of the 6th inning with Chillicothe batting, two runners on base and no outs when storms moved into the Platte County area.
     Officials stated the game would be suspended until Thursday afternoon. On Thursday it was said to be pushed back to Friday at 3:00pm. However, despite vigorous appeals and discussion by Chillicothe Athletic Director Matt Brownsberger, the Missouri State High School Activities Association ruled the officials were in error and the game should of been called as final when rains forced stoppage on Wednesday.
