Chillicothe Senior Blake Stephens was hot on the
mound and deadly at the plate to help his Hornets team to their
second straight win, beating Cameron 10-0 in a five-inning mercy
rule victory.
Stephens picked up the win on the mound, allowing just
two hits over five innings with two strike outs and no walks. At the
plate, Stephens went 2 for 4 with two home runs and five rbi's.
Fellow Senior Zach Douglas also continued with the hot bat, going 3
for 4 with a double.
Chillicothe is now 4-7 on the year and will take
their 2-game winning streak to St Joseph for the Pony Express
Tournament on Monday, when they play Benton at 4:30 at Phil Welch
