Chillicothe held Moberly to no field goals and only six free
throws in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough to overcome
a poor first half.
Chillicothe trailed by 15 points early in the 3rd
quarter but battled back and took a one point lead thanks to a
Jacob McKiddy trey with 1:39 left in the game. The Hornets
were whistled for a foul with 53 seconds left that allowed
Moberly to make two free throws and take a one point lead.
Chillicothe's Alex Thompson fired up a free throw line
jumper in traffic with 2 seconds left that missed off the back
of the iron. The Hornets were called for a foul on the rebound
with 8/10ths of a second left.
Moberly made one of two free throws, and a Thompson
half court shot careened off the glass back board at the
buzzer.
Chillicothe, for the second game in a row, was with out
the services of three varsity players. |
