Poor shooting coupled with some early treys by Marshall led to
the Chillicothe Hornets third straight single digit loss of
the season. Marshall popped in three consecutive treys in the
first quarter to take a 15-6 lead after one.
The Hornets held Marshall to just two points in the
second but the Hornets still trailed at the half. Chillicothe
did manage to tie the game with 3:15 left in the fourth but
Marshall outscored Chillicothe 14-7 after that to win the
game. Chillicothe never led in the contest.
Unofficially, Chillicothe shot just 37.8% from
the floor and only 5/10 from the free throw line. Marshall was
almost the same at 38.8% from the floor and 5/15 from the free
throw line.
