Joseph LeBlond hit 9 of 12 fourth quarter free throws,
including 6 of 6 by point guard Chuckie Kempf to beat
Chillicothe 40-34 in a conference game.
Chillicothe took the lead on a Zach Douglas trey midway
through the fourth quarter, but LeBlond free throws in the
final 2:37 was too much for the Hornets. Chillicothe coach
Matt Brownsberger said his team struggled at times against the
LeBlond 1-3-1 zone defense.
The Hornets continue to struggle to find offensive
points. Alex Thompson led Chillicothe with 13 points, but the
other 7 players collectively shot just 6 of 26 from the floor
for the game.
