North Kansas City rolled off the first nine points of the game
and rolled on to a 78-50 win over Chillicothe in the Kearney
Tournament. North Kansas City scored early and often off a
full court press that bothered Chillicothe. Chillicothe Coach
Matt Brownsberger said his team wasn't ready for the quickness
of North Kansas City.
The Hornets defense had problems
controlling NKC's 6'1" Senior Brandon Shively who had 34
points on the night, hitting from both inside and outside
through out the game.
Chillicothe battled back to take a brief two point lead
in the third, but after NKC tied the game at 37, they went on
a 19-3 run to put away Chillicothe for good. |
