Savannah held Chillicothe to just eight
points in the entire second half and handed the Hornets their 17th
loss of the season, 46-29. It marked the fourth time this season,
and second time in three games, that Chillicothe failed to break the
30-point barrier.
Chillicothe Junior Nic Voorhies hit two treys in the
first minute of the second quarter to tie the game at 15. The
Hornets trailed by just one point at halftime, 22-21 but trailed by
7 after three and were outscored 24-8 in the second half.
Chillicothe also had foul trouble in the game. The
Hornets were whistled for 20 fouls in the game to just 5 for the
home Savages. Chillicothe was also with out leading scorer Alex
Thompson, who was at the game but not dressed out. |
