     The Hornet Soccer Team started out strong and finished strong on the way to an 8-1 victory over the Benton Cardinals at St Joseph, MO. The scoring got started early as Chris Klienschmidt put a header in the back of the net off a nice corner from Grant Peterson. That was just the beginning of a great night for Mr. Peterson as he would end up with 3 goals and 1 assist in leading the Hornets.
     This was a team win as 6 different Hornets scored and 5 different players provided assists to notch one of the more complete games of the season. Additional goals were scored by Miles McLemore, Brice Griffin, Tyler Midgett, and Connor Ruoff. Assists in the game from Peterson, McLemore, Quentin Mammen, Trey Van Houtan and Laine Saunders.
     Troy Toedebusch and Jimmy Chapman split time in net for the Hornets who have only allowed 2 goals in the last three games. The win evens the record for the Hornets on the season as they set out to play Maryville at 4 pm on Tuesday, 10-19-10. This will be Senior Night for the Hornets. The halftime score was 4-0.
