     This was a closer game than the final score would indicate. The game was 2-1 in favor of Maryville at halftime after a few nice scores by the Spoofhound forwards. A wonderful, powerful goal by Brice Griffin midway through the first half had knotted the score at 1-1. But a late goal by Maryville gave them the edge at half.
     The second half started out just as well. But a few mental mistakes cost the Hornets and it carried over for the remaining 20 minutes of the game. Maryville would go on to score 3 unanswered goals in the last 20 minutes to cement the final score.
     Troy Toedebusch and Jimmy Chapman split time in the net for the Hornets. While this game is not indicative of the way the Hornets have played the last few weeks, it is a chance to learn and get focused.
