Chillicothe's three runners at the MSHSAA Cross Country Championships posted excellent times.
     On the girls side, Mary Kate Taylor finished in a time of 20:10 to place 24th out of 165 runners and earn All State Honors for the second consecutive year.
     On the boys side, Sophomore Andrew Jensen finished in a blistering time of 17:31 to finish 35th out of 175 runners, the highest place for a Hornet boys runner since 1997. Jensen was the only passenger in hotel elevator that became stuck the morning of his race. Coach Tim Riekena stated Jensen spent nearly 40 minutes trapped before maintenance workers repaired the problem.
     Senior Thomas Cassity finished in 93rd place in a time of 18:14, an improvement of more than a minute over his state performance last season.
