Chillicothe
Pitcher Sarah Baldwin (Jr.) threw a no hitter shut out to lead the
Lady Hornets to a 6-0 season opening win at South Harrison. Baldwin
fanned 16 batters and walked none to pick up the 7-inning complete
game victory.
Chillicothe started slow offensively but picked up two
runs in the 5th and four in the 6th. Coach Stan Baldwin was pleased
with the pitching and defensive play of his team.
"It took us a while before our bats came alive in
the 5th and 6th innings" stated Baldwin.
