Chillicothe
used a strong third inning to beat Lawson on the road 5-1 in girls
softball. The Lady Hornets scored five times in the third then held
Lawson in check, allowing just one unearned run in the fourth
inning.
Chillicothe coach Stan Baldwin called Lawson "a very
good team". He stated other girls stepped up and hit the ball when
the team needed them.
Sarah Baldwin picked up the win, going the
distance allowing one unearned run off three hits with two walks and
14 strikeouts.
