Chillicothe scored early but couldn't hold the lead as the Hornets
Soccer Team fell to Fulton 3-1 at Danner Park. It was the season
opener for both teams.
Chillicothe scored first early in the first half
on a Brice Griffin goal, assisted by Steven Cooper. The lead held
until midway through the first half when Fulton's Jakob Hull found
the goal unassisted. Later in the half Morgan Mulligan gave Fulton a
2-1 lead on an unassisted goal.

Chillicothe Goalkeeper Troy Toedebusch played a solid
game with 9 saves in the contest. Chillicothe 1st year head coach
Tim Cunningham called this game an "outstanding team effort by the
Chillicothe Hornets." He singled out Lane Clark, Jacob McKiddy and
Connor Ruoff for special recognition for their efforts in holding
Fulton star player Jake Pierce to only two shots on goal the entire
game.
