Chillicothe’s Steven Cooper accounted for both goals to give the Hornets Soccer team a 2-0 win over St Joseph Benton in the first round of the Excelsior Springs Tournament.
     Cooper scored in the first half off an assist by Jacob McKiddy, and in the second half off an assist by Grant Peterson. Goal keeper Troy Toedebusch had 4 saves on goal. The Hornets out-shot Benton 28-4 in the contest.
     Chillicothe takes on Savannah at 5:00pm in the second match of the Excelsior Springs Tournament,
