The Chillicothe Hornets Soccer team fell to Excelsior Springs 3-1 in the Excelsior Springs tournament. Chillicothe finished in 3rd place. Savannah was awarded 2nd in a tie-breaker.
     In the Excelsior Springs contest, Chillicothe’s Steven cooper scored off a free kick assist by Chase Reeter in the first half to lead 1-0. Excelsior Springs scored all three of their goals in the second half, all were unassisted. Hornets Goal Keeper Troy Toedebush had 12 saves.
     Chillicothe’s next game is Thursday against perennial state powerhouse Smithville.
