The Chillicothe Boys tennis team avenged an earlier tournament loss
with a 5-1 win over St Joseph Lafayette.
In singles play: Wade Dietz won 8-1, Grant Peterson won 8-4, Chase
Reeter won 8-6, Gabe Poling won 8-4, Derek Montgomery won 8-5 and
Jeremiah Applebury lost 2-8.
The Lafayette coach suggested calling the doubles
matches due to time consideration, risk of injury before districts
and that the Hornets had already won the match. Chillicothe agreed
to forego the doubles contests.
