Chase Reeter and Grant Peterson took first place in
doubles. They beat a number one Lafayette doubles team in the finals
6-4,7-5. it was a big win for our boys, they showed a lot of team
chemistry and played great together. Chase pounded heavy ground
strokes while Grant was aggressive at the net. Wade Dietz entered as
the one seed in singles, he dominated a highly skilled number 2 from
Maryville in the semifinals 7-6, 6-2 before losing in the finals to
the number 1 Maryville guy 4-6 2-6.
Coach Aaron Douglas said: "I'm proud of our team,
Overall, Chillicothe dominated this tournament! We're excited to
have everyone back next year as well."
Justin Lightner and Garrett Peterson won a first round
doubles match against Benton 6-0, 2-6, 6-3 before losing their next
two matches..
