Chillicothe's "Baldwin Bash Brigade" (Sarah and Samantha Baldwin) combined to go 7 of 8 for 5 runs and 6 RBIs to help the Lady Hornets crush Lexington 12-2 in five innings. It was the season opener for Chillicothe.
     Lexington picked up two runs in the top of the 1st inning, despite getting no hits in the game, but after that it was all Chillicothe with 3 runs in the 1st, 3 in the 2nd, 4 in the 3rd and 2 in the 5th.
     All State Pitcher Sarah Baldwin was in fine form, allowing 2 runs but no hits, three walks and nine strike outs in the game. Both runs were earned. On offense, Chillicothe banged out 14 hits and turned 12 of them into runs. Coach Stan Baldwin stated "Great win! It's always nice to win your home opener."
