The Chillicothe
Lady Hornets scored twice in the first inning, and then used defense
and pitching to hang on for a 2-0 home win over Liberty North.
Chillicothe’s number five hitter Addie Stottlemyre
brought two runners home for the only runs of the night. Picking up
hits for Chillicothe was Sam Baldwin, Maura Sturguess, Addie
Stottlemyre and Annie Turbyfill. The Baldwin Sisters accounted for
the two runs scored.
Sarah Baldwin pitched another shut out win, giving up 5
hits with 2 walks and 13 strike outs in the win. Chillicothe coach
Stan Baldwin called his team flat and felt his team was not at their
best, despite the 2 -0 win.
