The Lady
Hornets softball team left 11 on base and had four errors, but still
left Maryville with a 5-4 conference win over the Lady Spoofhounds.
With the game tied at 1-1, Chillicothe exploded for 4
runs in the top of the inning. Maryville answered with one run in
the 3rd, 5th and 7th innings.
Sarah Baldwin picked up the win, allowing four runs,
two earned, with five hits, two walks and eight strike outs.
At the plate, Sarah Baldwin went 4 for 4 with Samantha
Baldwin, Maura Sturguess, Addie Stottlemyre and Kelsey Boley all
with one hit. Annie Turbyfill and Boley each had two RBIs and
Sturguess had one.
