Annie Turbyfill had 2 home runs and 6 rbis to help the Lady Hornets down Excelsior Springs 12-6 in the first round of the Chillicothe Tournament on Saturday. Only first round games were completed before rains halted the rest of the tournament. The remainder of the tournament will not be made good.
     Chillicothe spotted Excelsior Springs a 4-0 lead after 1 but answered with 2 in the second, 6 in the fourth and 4 in the 4th. In addition to the two home runs, Turbyfill also picked up the five inning win, allowing six runs, four earned, off four hits with six walks and ten strike outs.
     At the plate, Turbyfill, Sarah Baldwin, Maura Sturguess and Brooke Doss all had two hits, Sam Baldwin, Erin Gilliland and Ashiah St Onge all had one hit.
