Chillicothe
Freshman Samantha Baldwin hit a home run in the top of the 7th to
help lead her team to a 3-1 win over Hamilton on the road. It was
Baldwin’s 5th home run of the season.
Each team scored one run in the 1st inning, then let
pitching and defense take over. Baldwin’s shot in the 5th was one of
two runs Chillicothe scored in the top of the 7th to take the
victory.
Pitcher Sarah Baldwin picked up the win, allowing one
un-earned run off 3 hits with 2 walks and 12 strike outs.
At the plate, Sam Baldwin went three-for-for with a
run, an rbi and a stolen base. Erin Gillilan went two-for-four with
two runs and two stolen bases. Sarah Baldwin, Annie Turbyfill and
Sarah Hussey all picked up one hit each. Sarah Baldwin and Turbyfill
picked up the other two RBIs in the game. Chillicothe is now 12-1 on
the season.
