Chillicothe exploded for 11 hits and handed Trenton
their first softball loss of the season 5-4 at Trenton. Chillicothe
led 5-0 heading into the bottom of the 5th when Trenton took
advantage of Chillicothe errors to score four runs in the inning.
"Too many errors" said Hornets Coach Stan Baldwin. "The
score should have been 5-1: good hitting against a very good team,
one of the best class 2 teams around."
Sarah Baldwin was the winning pitcher, allowing four
runs but only one earned run, five hits with one walk and 14 strike
outs.
At the plate Sam Baldwin, Erin Gilliland, Sarah
Baldwin, Maura Sturguess and Annie Turbyfill all had two hits each
and Brooke Doss had one hit.
